My motto is staying sane through movement, whether that be testing my boundaries on a yoga mat, trekking the heights of the Himalayas, exploring the Buddhist temples of Southeast Asia or heading out on a wildlife adventure in Africa. I balance my time between teaching yoga and writing/editing.

I write about and photograph my travel experiences for a variety of outlets. I authored The Little Black Book of San Francisco as well as The Little Black Book of Los Angeles (Peter Pauper Press). My stories have also been published in Open Skies (Emirates Airlines), Morning Calm (Korean Air), Beyond (Alaska Airlines), American Way (American Airlines), Global Traveler, Prevue Magazine, Meetings Today, BBC Travel, National Geographic Traveler, the San Francisco Chronicle, Via magazine, AAA Traveler, and San Francisco magazine, among others.

I am a member of the Society of American Travel Writers and have won a number of SATW photography awards, including the Silver award for Photographer of the Year 2014.

In my previous life I was a music journalist as well as a radio producer and DJ. I interviewed everyone from Nirvana to James Brown and wrote for Rolling Stone, Alternative Press, SF Weekly, the Bay Guardian and more.

I trained in 2002 to become a Bikram yoga teacher and attended two Ghosh lineage trainings with Tony Sanchez to further my practice and knowledge. I continue to teach in San Francisco.
